Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information Linden Dawn collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Linden Dawn provides coaching, advisory and group facilitation services. For the personal information described here, Linden Dawn is the data controller. You can contact us about anything in this notice using the contact form on our homepage.

What we collect

When you send us a message. The contact form asks for your name, your email address and, if you choose to tell us, what’s going on for you right now. We only collect what you type into it.

When you visit the site. Like every website, ours is delivered by servers that see technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse and spam. We don’t use it to identify you.

When you use the contact form. To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re a person rather than an automated program. It looks at technical information about your browser and device. It only loads when you scroll to the form, and usually you won’t notice it at all.

We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we use it

• To reply to your message and, if you’d like, to talk about working together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable website.

We won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you’ve clearly agreed to it. We never sell your information.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers, who process information only on our instructions:

• HubSpot, which stores the messages sent through our contact form and our related correspondence.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and protects it and the contact form from spam and attacks (including with Turnstile).

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they’re covered by UK adequacy arrangements or approved contractual safeguards, so your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.

We’ll only share your information with anyone else if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, so we can pick up the conversation if you get in touch again. If you become a client, we keep the records we need for as long as we’re legally required to (for example, six years for financial records). After that, we delete them securely.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn’t currently use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind. If we add them in the future, we’ll update this notice first and ask for your consent wherever the law requires it.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• ask us to correct it if it’s wrong
• ask us to delete it
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
• ask us to transfer it to you or to another organisation

To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. We’ll respond within one month. There’s normally no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this notice if the way we handle personal information changes. The date it was last updated is shown at the top.
